Hi everyone. I noticed lately that every now and then I have to click an input a couple of times for vMix to switch to it. I thought the wireless mouse was at fault so I got a wired mouse, but the same happened. I then figured out the reason it happens. Unless the cursor was at a stand still on the shot, it would not switch. I figured I will get a Stream Deck and that will solve the problem. Watched Tim's video and read the forums, and it seems everyone who talks about using the Streamdeck is talking about setting up a profile from scratch. So my question is, is it possible to use a current profile and control it with the Streamdeck?
Thanks Amnon

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Can a vMix profile be modified so it is controlled by the streamdeck. I have around 40 different vMix profiles for the different shows I do. Amnon

Don't see why you would have to modify your vMix profile, its a controller that you can link to your existing shortcuts or even send API calls with it's a fancy (but very useful) little additional keyboard ;-) Just as you have multiple vMix profiles the streamdeck can have multiple profiles so you can match with them each others in functionality. Works straight out of the box (after you told a key what to do) While there are additional apps for it to work with it there really isn't any need for those. you wont regret getting one or more

I have multiple vMix productions programmed into a Stream Deck XL with triggers too.
I have a startup on the XL with has each production as a button on the Stream Deck. Each button is programmed with a MultiAction (Stream Deck function). For this to work the Stream Deck software has to be running before pressing a button.
The multi-action contains two commands:
1) Open vMix production file (those with a .vmix extension) 2) Switch Stream Deck My Stream Deck Config[/img]profile to the profile that I programmed and saved with the production loaded
Each profile has a button programmed to return to the default profile which has all the production buttons.
So when I press a button to load a production, vMix loads with all the production presets and the Stream Deck buttons have the config of that production, including the triggers.

In a few weeks, I will build a tutorial on how I did this and share it on YouTube.

Got the 15 button stream Deck, upgraded to vMix 22, read a few posts with instructions, and the only thing I managed to do is to have a button that switches between preview and program. I must be over thinking this :-) I'll wait for your tutorial. Amnon

Amnon Or you use the elgato integration option (see below) or you create http request or link to shortcuts strait into the streamdeck (website or hotkey options) Say you dragged the website option to a button and tell it to "http://127.0.0.1:8088/api/?Function=SetText&Input=1&SelectedIndex=0&Value=demo" it will ad the word demo to the first textblock of a title in input 1 or drag a hotkey option and give it the keycombination you prepared in vMix itself (vMix window has to be the active one to respond then) https://www.vmix.com/knowledgebase/article.aspx/180/using-the-elgato-stream-deck-with-vmix&

Hi Manjinder,
The Shortcut to use is: "SelectIndex" Where the Value = 1,2,3 or 4 depending on which preset Zoom thumbnail you want to switch to.
