Does this give you 4 individual channels in VMIX?

I just picked up one of these units.
Are you powering it off USB or wall outlet?
I am having trouble using the headphone out to monitor with it. Not sure I have the correct driver.

I just ordered one of these today, so I look forward to learning along with you on how to maximize the use of this with VMix.

So I just got the 404HD myself. It took me 10 min to figure out why I couldn't see all the channels. When you select an audio device you need to use the "UMC ASIO Driver" option. Then you can choose what line you want to show up from the 4 available (or it has combo lines 1 & 2, 3 & 4).

What kind of source have you connected, and how? I don't have one, but afaik this could happen if you connect a line level source via XLR. XLR plug activates mic level on some interfaces.

2 XLR inputs from a mixer, in 1 and 2. If they are playing music or talking, in vMix I will hear audio and see levels even if I turn down the Gain knobs on the umc404hd interface.

Try connecting with a 1/4" TRS jack plug. This should activate the line level input on the interface.

according to the manual, the TRS input has a 20db attenuation
