Just a simple question.....I usually stream on the same PC as vMix, but I find adding 2 or 3 cameras does put some heavy load on the PC, so I am looking at how to connect a second PC just for streaming......I know how to connect 2 PCs via the ethernet cable, but then I can not access the internet......

From your Vcard, fulscreen on the hdmi as second monitor.
On the second PC, capture this signal with a hdmi capture card.
Be careful with the audio delay.
Then process the live.

Don't connect these both of them with a direct cable.
How do you connect the laptop on internet ? By Lan ?
I don't see the problem if both are connected on the same modem. It's the modem that give both Internet.
so, the setup cannot affected the connection on the second laptop

By the way, your Vmix laptop use the Video out (Vga, hdmi, dvi) as second screen and fullscreen there and connect this exit on a USB capture card in the second laptop, then live it on internet

You could also look at a hardware video encoder like the teradek vidiu (just a for instance) many others exist. You run a HDMI out to a box, it will encode the video. It would also require an Ethernet connection to your network switch unless of course you trust streaming via wifi (I generally don't).

All I want to do is use one laptop for vMix, and another to stream.

Bardos. You will need to take the video/audio across seperate to the Ethernet connection. If you have HDMI output on one of the laptops the Avermedia ExtremeCap U3 is a cost effective way of bringing in the signal via USB. If you only have USB, get a USB to HDMI adaptor to take the signal out then into a capture device. As for the connectivity to the internet issue, it almost sounds like both laptops are using the same IP address. You will need to do some basic network troubleshooting ensuring you have connectivity.

I would suggest that rather than investing on external equipment, which is costly to buy, needs careful setup and means more equipment to go wrong during a stream, why not upgrade the machine you're currently using?

Can you outline the spec of the PC, GPU and capture cards?

Let me see if I can put this more plain:....I have a laptop with NO HDMI.....I have a PC with NO HDMI, just simple computers.....I have vMix on the laptop, and I go to an institution where they have OBS and wirecast for streaming....

What I want to do, is to use my laptop with vMix, to do a multi-input switching of a lecture with Q&A, and use their PC to stream, since it has all the streaming information, and is already setup to stream to wherever they are streaming.....

All I need to know, is how to connect the two computers together without losing the internet connection of the streaming PC as has been happening.....

Internet
As Ovinas suggested, use a network switch to split the internet connection so both PC/laptop can connect at the same time.

Video
Use the VGA-Out on the laptop to send video to a yet-to-be-purchased USB video capture device like an easycap USB frame grabber. You'll need a VGA-to-composite converter.

Audio
House audio can be sent to either/both systems to Line-In or Mic inputs.

Does this address your question?

Tom

Bardos,
I agree with Tom's summary.

The idea of offloading your PC/laptop by streaming from another one does not work if you want to send your output over Ethernet. Because that means you need to "stream" to the other PC.

I have also noticed that the Recorder seems to be using more CPU power than before....Yesterday, during a recording, I realised that my CPU was running as high as 75% in SD, one camera......I am used to 30 - 50% ....I was very surprise when I saw such a high CPU usage, as I always tell my friends how low the power cumsumption is.......I was recording in Mp4, as Mpeg2 is not possible with win8....
