First let me say that I first started evaluating this software last week. It is an amazing application. I am pretty sure I will be able to convince my bosses to purchase it. I do have a couple of suggestions if it isn't too late in the game.
Both are concerning the desktop capture input.
First, it would be great to be able to separate the vMix desktop capture server program from the rest of the vMix install. Making it a separate app that can be installed on another computer without having to install the full vMix application.
Secondly, (and this would push it over the top with my bosses), since our company has been aggressively moving to include the use of Apple computers into our presentation and marketing use, it would be fantastic to have a version of the vMix Desktop Capture server to run on an Apple computer or Apple laptop. This way someone running a Keynote presentation can have their desktop image input to vMix. (A desktop capture app for iPads might be asking a bit much but would be the cherry on top if it could be done.)
Again, fantastic app!

At least regrading your first problem, I'm glad to tell you that it's not required to install vMix on each PC. See this post for more information. Still, I have to agree: a separate option within the vMix Installer to install just the Desktop Capture Server would be a great idea! By just adding another setup instruction one could add a comfy option for users. And OTOH it reduces support requests as this has already been asked for a few times. :)

Thanks much. Thats just what I needed. I too tried the same thing, using just the exe file. Figured some other files would be need. Excellent. Now all thats needed is to make the desktop capture server app available to the Apple platform if possible. That would absolutely rock as many of our key users are turning to Keynote and other things on Apple for presentation.
Thanks again for the Tip. Should have kept digging through the posts.
