Hi folks, I'm trying to use an old I5-2320 @3.00ghz with 8GB ram and GTX550Ti. When I try to stream FFMPEG with ticker on Use hardware encoder I get the error:

Streaming
Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (pcm_s16le (native) ->aac (libfaac))
Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Tom, I've tried 1920x1080-25p @ 3.5Mbps and 1280x720-50p @ 2.5Mbps.
If I try without Hardware acceleration option it works but cpu goes up to 70/75%
In the primary machine with I7 and GTX 960 no problem....

@ rinaldo

If I remember correctly, I think the "Use Hardware Encoder" option requires a GTX 750 or better, not sure if that would cause the error but CPU will go up when un-ticked, especially on an older i5.

Yeah I believe that error is when trying to use a Nvidia Card that doesn't support hardware encoder, I think I had that on my old i5 laptop that only had a 540m from memory.
Also are you using the latest version? think Martin removed that option on older graphics cards and checks automatically now in v18.
