Having problem with usb camera bought at new egg. its a 1080p camera usb2. When I add the imput to Vmix it comes up as a UVC camera and gets picked up by Vmix fine except it goes into a loop was you watch it. If i just sit there it keeps doing the same loop, if i then move around it picks it up and starts a new loop.
This happens at home and at my church both with the same cammera. camera works fine with other apps such as Zoom, seems to be a vmix problem, anyone have any ideas?
camera is setup at 1920x1080 frame rate ntsc 29.97p mpeg-2
thanks for any help you may give.

ok just fixed myself, kinda, changed video format from default, which you would think would work, to MJPG seems to be working but quality is no where near what the camera is capable of. Any way to get the resolution that the camera is capable of?

1080p over USB2 ! ??? Really ?
I wouldn't expect much from such a thing in terms of quality. Feel lucky you get a signal in...
If quality matters to you, buy a real camera and capture card

I already have a NDI/PTZ camera that works great, this just a supplement for switching to while the NDI moves to one of its presets. Maybe you have never looked but there is a huge amount of usb2 cameras touting 1080p so i am guessing this is a very feasable solution.
Anyone have any actual constructive suggestions?
Budget is an issue here since its for my church and the money will come out of my own pocket.

Sure. The lowly Logitech C920 has been able to deliver 1080p30 for a decade or more by using MJPEG or H264 AVC. The C930e added H264 SVC. Both are USB 2 connected.

With brand name webcams in short supply these days all manner of cheapo knock-offs are being sold. Who knows what kind of quality they can actually deliver.

One thing is certain, you can only deliver 720p30 YUY2 uncompressed over USB 2.0. That's the "best" that the sensor will deliver.

There's more to quality than just spatial resolution.
