Can USB cameras plugged into one Vmix system be used on a separate Vmix computer? I see the USB camera on the second computer NDI/Desktop Capture but I only get a Black Screen?

You may need to use a dedicated WebCam to NDI app instead of screen capture.

On Mac use Sienna WebCam for NDI
On Windows use NewTek NDI Connect Pro

Yes. I have vMix on my laptop and on my desktop. I can set the laptop camera as a source in vMix-1. Then go into vMix-2 on the desktop, see the laptop camera exposed as an NDI source, and select it as source for the desktop project.

Mjgraves,

I think that means no need to purchase newtek connect pro to see a usb webcam if you have two versions of vMix. Correct???

Thank you very much.

Right! Two copies of vMix gets it done. You can have the Basic HD version on the contributing computer. A more capable version on your main system.

Or use the free version of NDI Connect which supports up to two sources on single machine.

I've used OBS to achieve that before.

Haven't tried Newtek's Connect...
