Also, logging would be awesome, currently did not find SRT related ffmpeg logs in the ProgramData vMix folder.

SRT in vMix is designed to (hopefully) be as simple as possible to setup and configure.
For that reason these settings will not be available as changing them from the defaults tend to cause more harm than good for the vast majority of use cases.

Also to answer your question, maxbw etc are all handled automatically by the SRT library and it tends to work quite well.

Thanks!

@Henny, as clearly stated in admin's first post in this topic here is not the place for Feature requests.
Luckily ;) there is already a FR to be voted/commented upon:

Did I dream this or did Martin say on the FTLS that we would be able to send any output to a stream. I can't seem to figure out how to do that on the 23 preview.

Note any output, either Output 1 or 2 in 4K and Pro editions.

hi, i'm only speaking about decoding:

SRT decoding in HEVC as caller isn't working (from a cube 755 teradek) but works in vlc outside vmix
SRT decoding in H264 as caller is working but no audio and video stuttering but works in vlc oustide vmix.

Even adding srt latency or decoding latency don't fix the stutter or the audio.
The H264 encoder is a processionnal fujitsu ip9500e, it is a udp wrapped in a srt with the gihub haivision srt.

Whynot just add SRT in VLC FOR VMIX ?

thanks

What are the computer specs? Did you try disabling hardware decoding?

Yes i tried disable decoding,no success.

the pc were :
laptop xps13-9360 and nuc 8th generation with i7-8559U and 8GB ram

if i do the de-wrapp of SRT with linux sub system and then decode the stream in udp with vlc in vmix, it works (both H264 and HEVC) with audio, no stutters.

when i try in SRT directly in vmix, it doesn't work in HEVC, stutter and no audio with H264.

Please drop us an email at info@vmix.com.au and send a support report from Settings -> About and we should be able to see what is happening.

vMix Media Converter

- adding files to conversion list takes very long, it seems that every file is read before appearing in the list

- option to set output drive/directory/filename would be nice
- option to convert multiple input files to one single output file, if you had set the new file every xxx minutes option in multicorder would be very important
- option to set output format, resolution and bit rate would be nice
- option to convert files which are in native ndi4 format

thanks 1 user thanked PeterH for this useful post.

As LT is equivalent to the vMix AVI quality, it would just be wasting CPU resources to use a higher quality...

i doubt a bit......

The target data rate of Apple ProRes 422 LT is approximately 102 Mbps at 1920 x 1080 and 29.97 fps.
The target data rate of Apple ProRes 422 HQ is approximately 220 Mbps at 1920 x 1080 and 29.97 fps.

there is always a quality loss with transcode.... why not lower the odds.... ?
is vmix codec 8 bit or 10 bit ?

cheers,

pfbm

Mix shortcuts BUG: When using PreviewInput/ActiveInput shortcut for mix 2/3/4, the input parameter is always decremented by 2. e.g. shortcut should preview input 3 in mix 2, but in fact it preview input 1. Fade, Zoom, Wipe,.. shortcuts works as expected

Hi to everyone,
I've try to use the mix input function that appear very interesting new entry.
When creating shortcut about it, the selection input appear shifted by 2 (to are able to select the input 1 it's necessary to set the input 3 on the shortcut input menu).
I wrong anything or there are a bug?

Ouch,

It does work, but:

1. users will never "find" this. There is no indication of "right-clickableness".
2. no correct feedback.

I know this is some re-work, but it should be something like this:

AudioFader.png (6kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

The multiple Bus functionality is awesome, still trying to figure out the best way to configure and monitor multi-channel outputs and recording.

Thanks!!!

Steve

Totally agree on a better way to present this. Steve is spot on :) Great feature. Thank you!

Is there anyway to inform us that there is a new beta build, other than searching all the threads in the post.
