When adding Colour input

see Capture1.PNG

setting any of the 5 inputs to pictures etc.... in Multiview for Colour Input

seen Capture2.PNG

It will not display the overlay inputs regardless if color is set to a colour, colour bars or transparent
when overlay 1 is selected.

see Capture3.PNG

Possible bug to report, I am testing a new system on the version 17 beta.

This doesn't appear to negatively impact vMix but sometimes I am running shortcuts from a script and on occasion (not predictably) I receive GUI vMix error messages. The log file prints this out:

========================================
17.0.0.70 - Unhandled - 4/8/2016 2:30:05 PM
========================================
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at la.c(Object a, EventArgs a)
at kz.a.Invoke(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at iz.zzb()
at iz.zzzzzh()
at iz.zb(jg a)

Any ideas? Thanks for your time and energy. :)

Can you update it to the latest beta, version .75?

desmar,

So I have worked out what this is happening.
The maximum number of overlays allowed in Basic HD is 1.
As a side effect of this any multiview inputs will not show in overlays only the main input.

So upgrading to HD will solve your problem.

Martin

Thanks Martin, I knew you would fix it quickly. I will confirm today.

Updated: Tested and confirm it resolved the issue with a long title preset string from a CSV data file.

I just downloaded the test version of VMix17. The Chroma Key is a massive improvement. That was my only complaint ever. True pro HD quality without the need of any Anti Aliasing! My only question is on the desktop capture. I use that on about 5 different computer sources. One of them is an old basic xp computer. I know VMix doesn't support that at all. But I was always able to download desktop capture independently for that computer. Is it possible to still use the old desktop capture with the new 17 or is there a way to download the new capture separately. Also, I have about 250 inputs. And it takes about 5 minutes to load in 16 it took maybe 1 minute to load everything up in 17. There are major improvements with this version for sure. Great work! -William

Edit: I just answered all of my questions with the desktop capture. I found the separate download link and it works. Again great update. Solved the only few issues I have ever had with Vmix over the last couple of years.

* Support for "Web Enabled" Sony, Canon and PTZ Optics PTZ control

Is there any docs for enabling the Canon PTZ functions? I have several canon xa20's that have the built in web controls, but I can't seem to get the zoom option to work (or anything) in the PTZ section of the camera.

I assume this isn't working?

Not sure how useful it would be anyway, since you can only do web control with direct Wifi connection to the camera, it doesn't connect to the wifi network and then allow connection on full network...

This is a YouTube limitation, you might have better luck using the Web Browser input instead.
