I can't wait to check this new script feature. Looking forward for some examples, samples, tutorials... So far I checked few commands from this topic http://forums.vmix.com.a....aspx?g=posts&t=3816 and it's not working Code:Overlay(1).In("scorebug.xaml")
<- it's OK But Code:Input("Virtual Input").Cut
or Code:Input("scorebug.xaml").SetText("Doing Something")
Error Line 2: BC30456: 'Cut' is not a member of 'vMix.Scripting.Internal.Input' Error Line 2: BC30456: 'SetText' is not a member of 'vMix.Scripting.Internal.Input' What am I doing wrong? :)

Documentation and examples are coming soon, but for now some quick examples: Quote:Input("Virtual Input").Function("Cut") Input("scorebug.xaml").Text = "Doing Something"

Loving this update for the Merge and the MIDI capabilities alone. The shortcut "Find" is very handy!
Would love to use the scripts, but sadly I don't have licensing for 4K or Pro.
Thanks for the update Martin!

Thanks, I'm waiting for the documentation
...however, I cannot help asking how to indicate the text field in my xaml (text index or text name) ;-)

admin wrote:Just waiting to hear on what you discover with the ASIO output issue. So far I have tested Focusrite, Behringer, Creative and ASIO4All with the output. Just hooked up a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB and ASIO is working without problems. So I checked the MOTU again, made a quite simple set-up with 6 ins and 6 outs, checked this with Waves Tracks Live, working perfect in ASIO mode. Same problem still with vMix: Interface to vMix working fine, vMix to interface nothing at all.

Hi Ovinas,
Check the vmistorage\logs folder to see if the logs there contain any errors when using the MOTU output. You can also click the i button in the Master mixer to see if it is dropping samples
Regards,
Martin vMix

Played a bit with buffer settings of the interface without success. Even with the safest settings it's not working. I've attached the screenshots of the logs (why 2 files?) and the audio info. ovinas attached the following image(s): log-1.jpg (48kb) downloaded 7 time(s). log-2.jpg (19kb) downloaded 5 time(s). AudioInfo.jpg (30kb) downloaded 6 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

And the same with 2 (working) audio inputs. ovinas attached the following image(s): AudioInfo-2.jpg (29kb) downloaded 1 time(s). log-3.jpg (48kb) downloaded 1 time(s). log-4.jpg (47kb) downloaded 1 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

I think for a Software to use Asio technology , all the audio inside of the app should be asio controlled , ins and outs. just like any daw.
Cheers,

Here two merge situations At the end of merging picture two to four the transition in not completely smooth - i hope you can see what i mean Merge with overlapping fotosI would recommend to change the layer position to the top layer instead of fade if the picture aren't overlapping - if possible Merge without overlapping fotos

HI Martin,
I can confirm that the latest fix of the ASIO drivers are now working with my X32 Producer.
One thing I did find was on my X32 I have the sample rate setup to 44.1kHz, when I opened vMix and I added an audio input the audio was sounding garbled so I went into settings > audio and the Master Sample Rate was set to 4800kHz so I changed that to 44100kHz and restarted vMix and the garbled sound was gone, all working fine.

Well done! MOTU UltraLite AVB now working in ASIO mode.
Are there any plans for MIDI data from vMix to the controller e.g. setting LEDs?

Remember that 48 khz is the standard audio for video , not 44.1 :) Cheers, PFBM

I am simply blown away with the continuous improvements being made in vMix with each release! Well done Martin. I am still in agreement with Richard on the 'fade' behavior with the new "Merge" transition. I wont pretend to understand the technical reasons behind it, and as much as I love the transition, I think the 'fade' spoils the overall effect and I would be reluctant to use it in certain situations for that reason. I much prefer the look of Thremir's Virtual Set Zoom Script, although that is not nearly as simple to set up, it just 'looks' better. http://forums.vmix.com.a...ts&m=10215#post10215I love all the additions and changes to the "Shortcuts" feature. Not sure if it is a 'bug' or oversight, but with an abundance of 'Shortcuts', my "reference page" is over cluttered (see image below) Is there a way to clean this up and/or a way to possibly "Print" these 'Templates' reference pages? All in all, I am excited to explore many of the new features of vMix 16. Ice

The fade through merge just doesn't look right in the examples above. Thankfully, I can't picture using it with that many inputs, and the overlaps as shown there unless that problem can be overcome.

@ madness
Your video link is "Private" as opposed to "Unlisted". (if this was intentional, I apologize, it's just that it's not viewable for the rest of us)
You present great examples of the 'merge' transition concerns that have been raised. I don't want to call it an 'issue' or 'problem' since it is behaving precisely how it was designed, it just doesn't 'look' right to me. I am not sure if a "fix" is possible and the 'fade' might be as good as it gets at this point, but I just think it would look better if both inputs were at 100% Opacity throughout the transition and maybe enable a quick fade if layers are crossed in the process. (But then again, that is getting into some pretty sophisticated high end image processing special effects and probably into a league that vMix is not yet competing in)

Does Vmix 16 use a different desktop capture program to be installed on the other computer (win and Apple0 or is the existing one to be used.
I red that this important function is improved so I want to test it right away...)
greetings, Stefan
