Hiya im having problems getting a external screen to work via hdmi HELP??

Did you choose the right display number on the "Display" tab of the Settings?

You have probably several numbers there at the Output Screen option and need to choose one, then quit and restart the program. One of those numbers should correspond with the hdmi connected.
Number 1 is often the first Desktop screen so when you make the application window smaller it will be on the desktop, behind vMix.
