Our PTZ Optics NDI 30X Zoom freezes on an infrequent basis. The only fix is to reboot vMix. After the reboot, the camera is back on line.

Does anyone know of a simple reset procedure so we can recover without a reboot?

Does anyone know the root cause?

Under normal operation there does not appear to be anything wrong.

Check if you have the latest firmware installed.. I had an issue where PTZ Optics cameras would go out of sync when using NDI. Doing a firmware update solved the problem. It could be related to you issue ?

I'll download the latest and see if it fixes the problem. I know we are at least one revision behind. Thanks for your interest

In a pinch, you might also trying "Changing" the Input, which allows you to re-fresh the Input for the camera.

You can find Change on the General tab of your PTZ camera Input.

Do you know if doing the change maneuver will disrupt the existing presets. For example, we have multiple settings for the camera which froze, close up, far away, multi-view. Do we lose these if we do the change and select the frozen camera as the "new" camera?

Good question. Not sure. You may need to test this.

I'll give it a test - thanks for the idea

Is there a point to posting the same response multiple times ? (3x so far)
