Hello everyone new guy on the block. I watched Martin on Studio tech Live yesterday introducing the new 4K and social media app wow looks awesome!
I'm building a new system from scratch and would like everyone opinion on using the Matrox VS4 as my capture card.
It has been working fine with wirecast for the past year. Has anyone been using this card? If so please provide a review.
Martin stated that Matrox has provided drivers for use with vMix!!

Hi Frank,

Yes, the Matrox VS4 works great with vMix.

Generally all cards listed on our supported hardware page have been thoroughly tested
to ensure good performance and reliability, the VS4 is no exception.

Hi Martin,

Can vMix leverage on the hardware encoding on VS-4?

Would the multichannel ISO recording utility also work with VMix?

Hi Ed,

As far as I am aware there is no hardware encoding on the VS4.
The VS4 Recorder software can be used, but not at the same time as vMix.

I'm sourcing hardware now for Vmix & Matrox VS4 rackmount system what suggestions for hardware (rackmounts, motherboard, graphics card, hard drive, SSD etc).
