Hi All,

I've made a small update which can be downloaded below (9.0.0.120):

http://www.vmix.com.au/download/vmix9preview.exe

This should be the last update before the final release.

Changes:

* Audio sync quality improved. Instead of dropping samples to keep in sync, vMix will resample the audio instead.
* Fixed issues with using the Mirror feature with MultiView
* Added duplicate zoom to Virtual Sets

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Is this bug fixed in 9.0.0.120?

When saving from a video delay on an rtsp source, it gives me an error:

VideoDelay_Save.VideoDelay_Save.VE_NEWA
Codec Not Supported. Try different Output Format under Settings, Performance.

It works fine when the delay is on the output, however.

Yes, you should be able to save video delays of RTSP sources in 9.0.0.120

I've been testing 9.0.0.120 with a number of cards and found some strange effects.

Hardware: i5 3470 on H61 chipset, intel HD graphics 2500, 4 gb ram, 1x intensity pro, 2x Avermedia C127, 2x Avermedia H727, all HD cameras 1080@50i, SD cameras 576@50i (H727 analog input).

I added all cameras as inputs, either 1920x1080 or 720x576 at PAL 25p/50i setting, virtual genlock, no VMR, deinterlacing set to "blend" on all inputs, global FPS was 25 fps. Worked fine. Then i added an image and configured multi-view with four sources. On top of that i configured the four overlays as picture-in-picture with different sizes and positions, and switched four hd-inputs to the four overlays - all in all layering 8 streams to the screen. Still worked fine, but all of a sudden deinterlacing was gone for at least some sources! I don't know if i hit a gpu limit, or if this is some strange bug... In the same testing scenario i also found that the overlay-buttons/indicators below the input-images went dark while inputs were still overlayed. CPU was at 20%, Render time around 30 ms.

Hi Martin

Great job on the new release, especially the rtsp input. I got 2 questions:

- The rtsp input seems to be a bit less stable than the rtmp option at this time. We've run overnight tests with a wowza 3.5.2 server, getting the stream via rtmp was rock solid, while the rtsp had issues in the morning (in vmix, 1 time audio/video freeze, 1 time video freeze / audio kept going).

- Receiving a stereo signal via rtsp, I can't seem to use the mixer to get left or right only in, the slider does not seem to have an effect.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Did the RTSP input bring up the red error bar before reloading the stream?
If so you can click the bar to bring up the error and send an error report for further investigation.

It may also be resolved by increasing the buffer size.

yesterday i tried latest preview with 3 rtsp inputs. It was the first time i had all 3 cameras connected, and i noticed that few seconds after connecting the second cam, video delay increases and with 3 cameras the delay on every cam is between 5 and 10 seconds. This can be a problem with an external audio source like ambient mic or commentator, and especially a problem if you want to mix with a analog or hdmi input from another card.
The cams have a 0.5 - 1 delay when viewed in web browser or vlc.
I had buffer size default, but couldn't activate Use Low latency option because it would give me red bar Video error.
Also i can't get audio from cameras. Audio works when i view stream from internet explorer. Audio output format from cams are: GSM-AMR or G.711 (pcmu or pcma) , but none work in vmix

thanks.

vMix only supports AAC audio. The delay may be caused by network speed limitations especially if connected via WiFi.
If you run all three cameras in three separate VLC windows what is the delay then?
