Hi Martin,

This is great! I've just started testing, and my first observation is that the alpha channel on lagarith encoded files don't seem to work in vMix 64 bit. Here's a sample file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u...113800/Stinger%20ESL.avi

These files worked fine in vMix 8, just to be clear.

Edit: I can confirm that .mov files with transparency are still fine in 32 bit vMix.

Thanks!
Andrew.

Thanks Martin.

I'll enjoy testing the transition cut-point feature.

I'll keep v9 away from the live webcasts, however. ;-)

Best,

Michael

Hi Martin.

Well done for the amazing work you have made!
There're two things I would like to suggest for the new version. First - after several tests of capturing via firewire, we found that the resolution of the stream is 1440x1080, but as you know the program doesn't support this resolution. I know it's not a popular format, but it would be great if you add it.
And second - for profesional shooting and broadcasting it is very important the buttons for switching the cameras to do the action on "push" position, not on "release". On every analog video mixer the action is on push. Because if you're shooting a music concert for example, it's important to switch the cams on beats, and that's very hard with vMix now. So that will be great improve.

Thank you in advance!

Best Regards!

Hi uKc,

Could you describe in some more detail what you mean by push? Are you referring to the fade bar?
On the video mixers we have tried the videos stay in the preview and program positions all the way until the fade has been completed.

Martin

In Fullscreen mode settings (on/off), does not work. When Restart Application, always in fullscreen.

On the stinger transition, it'd be more useful if the cut time were defined on the input, and simply have a "stinger transition" checkbox on the overlay. That'd allow us to use stinger transitions of differing length in a single overlay channel. Not massively important as my current method using autohotkey works fine, but it'd be nice to have it built in.

I've done some testing with RTSP, and I couldn't get vMix to work with an RTSP stream from crtmpserver (http://www.rtmpd.com/) but it worked fine with VLC (I used VLC as an RTSP proxy in front of crtmpserver), so I suspect the issue is with crtmpserver. Any suggestions on logs or debugging I can enable on the vMix end to troubleshoot?

I _think_ I noticed a bug where the video delay on an RTSP input got disassociated from the RTSP input if there was a connection error. I'll try to recreate that bug tonight, and do some testing with my Avermedia Live Gamer HD.

Thanks!
Andrew.

of course you can't access it because its on my private network, just wanted to show the kind of url i need to enter to view stream.

Hi Martin,

I've decided to make an illustration of what I mean, to make it easier for understanding.

In more programmer-y terms, it sounds like you want the event to fire on the OnKeyDown event, not on the OnKeyUp event.

Excellent work Martin, I'm still playing with it so not sure if I've figured it all out just yet, but things seem to have progressed well on the scoreboard (clock)front, but I'm wondering if there is a way (or code) to advance the score with a shortcut key (i.e. +1 each time it is pressed) the "set text" option only ascribes a predetermined "value" and thus the score still needs to be manually changed within the text editor, or maybe I'm missing something.

SetText can be used with a value of +=1 or +=2 etc to add to the existing score.

Another preview release with a few changes. (9.0.0.91)

* Fixed RTSP buffering issue
* Fixed RTSP pausing issue every few seconds with some sources
* Added support for using RTSP behind some firewalls and modems
* Added support for more RTSP streams
* Shortcuts triggered on key-down rather than key-up
* Basic Authentication for RTSP added

Download: http://www.vmix.com.au/download/vmix9preview.exe

I'm particularly interested in seeing if the RTSP issues reported above have been fixed.
I've tested Teradek Cube, Wowza Media Server, VLC and QuickTime Streaming Server

Martin

Thank you very much for this! (:

And just to ask again about adding the 1440x1080 resolution?

Hi Martin,

First up, thanks for the quick response!

I tested RTSP with crtmpserver, and it seems to work well - except when I've gotten it to run at 720p60 the audio sometimes drops out after about a second. At 30 frames it works fine, though I'll do more testing.

The Lagarith checkbox doesn't work in 64 bit vMix - it works in 32 bit though.
