Hi Martin,
I am seeing a new problem with vMix 17.0.0.80 where I open the program with no presets and the fullscreen output is causing 30ms render time and the FPS drops from 60 to between 30-40. I toggle the fullscreen output off and the render time drops to 0ms and FPS goes back to 60. I tried disabling FlipEx on Fullscreen with no change. This problem did not exist in 17.0.0.76, which is what had been installed previously.
Computer is Windows 7 x64, NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti, 16GB RAM.
Any idea what may be happening? Thanks!

Could you go to Settings -> About and click Send Support Report and email us your registration key so we can check the settings. Thanks!
One thing to check is make sure FlipEx is enabled (high render times will occur if it is turned off) and also make sure Optimus compatibility mode is turned OFF.

Did you remove the New Update notification in the vMix status bar Martin?

If you download the link that is labeled 17.0.0.77 it will give you the latest 17.0.0.80. It just still has the old revision number listed.

Sorry for the mix ups with the update numbers, everything should now be in sync and a small update to .81 has been posted which will now show up in vMix 17 as an update for vMix Update.
vMix 16 users will still need to update to 17 manually. Reason being there are some significant changes in 17 that may require users to peruse the release notes and the help file before upgrading.

Active NDI connection causes this error on Exit: "External component has thrown an exception: FormClosing"
vMix 17..83
I did submit this error also over internet with the built in function.

If USB connection is lost to Arduino controlled Tally light it causes vMix to crash with this error: "Safe handle has been closed: Unhandled"
vMix 17..83
I did submit this error also over internet with the built in function.

17.0.0.85 sent one of my laptops in an "Optimus graphics detected" loop. That is, it asks me to restart, I do, and is asked to restart again . Had to revert back to 17.0.0.77 (also tried clearing the settings using .77, with/without Optimus checked in settings before switching over to .85, still stuck in a loop).

Hi Richard,
Can you check the graphics drivers are up to date, both Intel and Nvidia and also Windows is up to date on that machine?
Failing that can you confirm the Windows version and also if vMix is running under dedicated graphics or intel graphics?
Thanks,
Martin vMix

Can you try the latest update 17.85? I can't seem to recreate this error.

Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3156421) was installed May 11. And I just did an update check. Nvidia driver is 365.19, release date May 13, reported by control panel as up to date. Running 17.85 with Intel graphics works. If I then uncheck Optimus in Performance settings, and run with Nvidia graphics I'm back in the loop.

Strange, what is the display setup like? I.E resolution on laptop display and resolution on external monitor plugged in?

I can't get Desktop Capture 17.0.0.70 to use Nvidia graphics in a couple of my laptops. One is using a GT 730M (Win10), the other Geforce 940M (Win 8.1). All drivers/OS latest version and render time/CPU usage well below safe zone. Of course tried starting with manually selecting IntelHD or Nvidia.
On two desktops it's working fine, maybe it's an Optimus issue?
Also, should not the "GDI"/"DXGI" indicator light up if "Use GPU acceleration" is selected, as an indicator?
