Hi Rebecca, It looks like you've done everything correctly. Your installation should work. I'm wondering if you may have some anti-virus software that is preventing it from being run from the Program Files folder ?? Try copying the "VMPB 4.0.44 Win64" folder to your desktop instead and create a shortcut on your desktop to see if will run from there.. You also shouldn't need to run as administrator. If you still have trouble getting it to run, you can email me at info@studio793.ca . I'll be happy to continue to help you out. regards, Richard

I can also no longer open the desktop application, even older versions I have kept.
iOS version works fine, but desktop application doesn't open-- no errors displayed, it just doesn't open, even in administrator mode.
Trying to troubleshoot, will post more if I find out anything.
UPDATE: Worked around this by switching to the 32 bit application. Not sure what happened, but it works, so...

Hi Richard, just downloaded and am testing....have an issue with the icons not appearing correctly.....I also found that PB loads pretty quickly, great....but it seems to be a bit sluggish....maybe my system, but my issue so far is that with the icons check attached files
PB. 4.0.44
PB. 4.0.46
PB. 4.0.46
PB. 4.0.44
UPDATE I realise what is causing this...it is a PNG issue....I disabled Opaque, and the icons looks nice, but....but, I have lost the borders..... I also notice very sluggish audio meters
UPDATE
Think I may have found the reason...it looks as though there is a locked border or outline in front of the graphics that is placed on the icon button... I tried a new PNG file that has no border, and the same thing happens.....

It seems that the issue with the icons and not being able to revert, Undo, (Ctrl +Z) may be the only issues so far....the sluggishness seems to from my end....but the speed with which PB loads is great...., been working on some adjustments on some presets, and things seem ok so far....

The reason you get the "Missing Icons" window popup, is because one or more of the buttons still needs those icons. If you deleted them, you need to put them back in the UserIcon folder or edit the buttons that use those icons and resave your template.

Joeboe,
1. Make a copy of your template as a backup 2. Make a note of the missing Icons that appear in the error window when you load your template. 3. Open the template in Excel as a tab delimited file 4. Look for the the name of the missing Icons in column Y and column AH 5. If the name matches any of the names in the missing Icons list then Delete those cell 6. Save the excel as a tab delimited file 7. Rename the extension of the file you just saved with .vmpb or .vmpbx if you use it on a tablet
Now, when you reload your template, you should have no Missing Icons errors. You will have to add new icons to the buttons you modified in the excel as they will now be blank.

I'm told that it might be due to out of date printer drivers in Windows 11 (even if you aren't using them anymore). I know it sounds weird but updating your current printer drivers and deleting unused drivers fixed the problem for some users. If this fixes it for you, please let me know which printer models were affected. thanks, Richard

I installed Windows 11 without an update, and I haven't reinstalled my printer yet, so no driver risk.
