vMix 10 is now well on the way to being completed!
Below is a preliminary list of the new features that will be available:
* New Output Options -Two indendently configurable outputs, 1. Fullscreen 2. Recordings and External Output -These Two outputs can be set to one of the following: --Output --Preview --MultiView (top half of screen Preview/Output, bottom half first 8 inputs) --Input (for example, configure fullscreen to show a single camera while recording the master mix)
-If both outputs are set to Output, the four Overlay channels can be configured independently.
* Improved RTSP compatibility. -I have been given various test streams from cameras and servers that were having issues and implemented fixes. (Including Panasonic and Vivotek)
* Support for Transport Streams (H264/AAC) -This can be used with the Teradek Bond / Sputnik etc
* New API options -Designed to assist with external scheduling apps and hardware controllers -GUID support, Loop toggle, extended XML information
* Multiple Hard Drive support for Multicorder
* Default settings button

Martin vMix

Hi all
Having spent the past month evaluating vmix as a mix solution for verious projects I think most of the shortcomings have been covered with this update.
One thing I would like to add to the wish list is a web page I put where you can enter a URL and use the page as an input, I would use this for things like twitter/Facebook feeds as well as other data
Thanks

Our broadcasting teams would very much appreciate if resolution for Decklink and External Output could be set independently. Decklink driver only accepts standardized resolutions such as 720x576, but want to use a different resolution for External Output (for example 1024x576) to minimize FMLE CPU consumption (and FMLE is a great CPU eater when it comes to video resize). Sometimes we want to use 1280x720 50i for External Output and 720x576 for Decklink Output, but we end up using 1920x1080 50i for both and FMLE CPU consumption goes nuts since it has to encode Full HD or resize.
Basically this feature would allow much more efficient use of CPU resources making the system more stable and capable, so please make this happen, if possible. Dundurs

What do I mean by this? If I have a Working preset set, and all worked well for me... When next I switch on my pc and load vMix, vMix should automatically load my last working preset instead of having to press a button to doing so. RSS feed to generate updated newsfeed as a scroller, will be an added advantage and if possible a graphically generated weather feed as part of the lower third in the right hand corner. Thanks Martin for all the work, for me multicorder on separate drives is very important. If it were possible to use network drive with a lan 1000 would be great.

Sounds great! Thanks for your hard work. @ Macgiver76Quote:If it were possible to use network drive with a lan 1000 would be great. Can't you just map a network drive to something like Z:?

Not sure what is meant by a Character Generator, in vMix you can already edit the text, change font, colour etc.

admin wrote:* New API options -Designed to assist with external scheduling apps and hardware controllers -GUID support, Loop toggle, extended XML information I'm especially thrilled about these additions, they are coming at exactly the right time! I'm going to work on our external scheduler project during the upcoming weekend(s), and having GUID support will save me a lot of extra code, and will make the scheduler more efficient (only half as many api-calls) and less error prone than my proof-of-concept code ;-) Thank you for the open ear you extend to your user community!

admin wrote:* New API options -Designed to assist with external scheduling apps and hardware controllers -GUID support, Loop toggle, extended XML information I'd like to use the extended API in my scheduling project. Is there a beta version available for download? Or an explanation of the new API? Or may I just assume it works like we discussed in the thread about scheduling?

Since vMix has a scroll bar, I would like to see that the scroll speed can be adjusted.
I also would like to see that RSS feeds could translate into the scroll bar. It would be a great help when severe weather approaches or for breaking news. It would be great if I could take the RSS feed from the National Weather service and put it straight to the scroll.
Thank you for considering this. i would like very much to see an Arabic direction scroll bar too

Can "Skype Video Capture" be added to the v10 please?
Adding Skype video to ones broadcast without using screen capture. With this function, broadcasters can get the video feeds directly from Skype or Oovoo.
This will be helpful for when you have to interview someone in a remote location.
Thanks

ridi wrote:may you improve the palylist, to add te calculate the time, and to begin a film that puts hours I. Thank you I've got a scheduling application in the pipeline that can "remote control" vMix. It will allow you to use vMix as a broadcasting application, e.g. serving clips, slideshow and other content to the internet. This may not be what you need, it's hard to tell from your short request. Perhaps you could add your request to the "feature request" forum and elaborate?
