Hi,
I would love to try vMix19 Beta with vMix call. I just wonder if I can have to versions of vMix on the same machine?
Or does the install of Beta19 on a machine running vMix18 harm my Installation of 18? Because we are productive with that machine I would appreciate your advice.
Thx
Chris

My habit is to create a snapshot of the boot volume of my production machine using a backup tool. Then instal the new software. Doesn't take long. Ensures a recovery path.

Thanks. So you think installing in another directory will be not safe enough? And perhaps corrupting the vmix18?

That might be perfectly safe, but I think it's fiddly. I prefer to have a known good image that I can revert to if necessary.

Also, I build my systems such that the boot volume is an SSD that contains only the OS & Apps. No user data. That makes it really easy to image & restore, using another disk on the same system to hold the images.
