Trying to stream stuff from VLC media player to vMix via RTSP. Video works like an animal but I can't get any audio coming through. I have tried multiple different settings (including MPEG 4 Audio ( AAC )) with VLC. Always the same result: no sound, no errors. And audio works fine when I stream it from VLC to VLC using RTSP.

Any help? Any suggestions? Anyone got this working?

Thanks in advance.

Btw. Checking out the trial version and whoa, #9 rocks! This is really getting good. Add multichannel ASIO IN/OUT-support and I'm completly 100% sold.

Hi,

Here is the settings I have tested with using VLC:

Encapsulation: MP4/MOV
Video codec: H264
Audio codec: MPEG 4 Audio ( AAC ) BitRate: 128 kb/s Channels: 2 Sample Rate: 44100

Remember to untick "keep original audio track", otherwise VLC won't actually encode the audio if it is in a different format.

What version of VLC are you using and what is the source you are streaming?

Regards,

Martin
vMix

Same problem here, and no solution :(

I use VLC 2.0.0 to stream H.264 and AAC audio.

I stream only audio, is it problem?

I tried many times your suggested settings but don't work.

Please help!
