I updated to vMix 17.0.0.112 yesterday.

Today vMix has crashed for the first time in months.

The event log shows:

Application: VMIX.EXE Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description:
The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: exception code c0000005, exception address 77531FFE

What can be the cause?

Hi,

The first clue is with the framework version (v4.x) in the error message.
vMix should never run under v4.0 (it requires .NET 3.5/2.0) so I am a bit stumped as to why it is running under v4.
The only way I can think of is either the program has been modified somehow or a custom config file forcing it to use v4 has been put in the installation folder.

To rule these out, delete the vMix folder in program files and download and install directly from our web site:
http://www.vmix.com/software/download.aspx

If you still get stuck, drop us an email as we will need to schedule a TeamViewer session to sort it out.

Regards,

Martin

Dotnet 3.5 was damaged, it was turned off in program options and couldn't be turned on.

I have reïnstalled Windows.
