We use Stingers to come back from commercial break, then to immediately go into features (like breaking news, etc.).
But you have to switch them out since there are only 2.
Why not have many more that you could easily map?
Thanks!

Or at least be able to have a shortcut to easily swap them out.

There is another thread about this at the bottom of page 1.
Agree. A work around is using an overlay and then triggering a background transition behind the overlay at some point. This has the advantage of being able to use transitions other than a cut when the stinger graphic doesn't go full frame to mask the cut.

You could always automate the stingers using the web API to replace the stinger inputs and config for each additional stinger source.

Spent tonight looking into it myself, and it appears that you cannot change inputs of stingers without going into the overlay settings. The API doesn't appear to have functions to change those settings. That would be a great feature request as well.

Ignore my other thread about stingers. I need as many as six stingers for my live shows.

I played around with a list feeding a stinger and see the potential. If my list of stingers can find one common cut point, then that would take care of my needs. Set the stinger length to the longest animation in the list and an empty frame at the end of everything and I'm good to go.
I could produce a show with two choices of cut position - say 30 frames and 60 frames - and compose all of my stingers to fit within those two constraints. That would only be a deal-breaker if I needed three stingers with a single-frame flash at three different points. But, it's good to design around known constraints. It makes you stronger. ;-)

+1.
We use stingers for a general event stinger and a replay stinger; and unable to use any more - we would if we could.

I have been in the progress recently of making our own stingers for each championship we film live.
I have been using After Effect to make a 1-2 second stinger at 30-50fps... Then rendering with After Effects as PNG - You can then bring this into vMix as an image sequence then configuring the overlay for the stinger mix point. Works really well.
Hope this helps, and if i can help at all, will be happy to.

I'm fairly new here guys so don't flame me but this is already achievable by using shortcuts and triggers. File Attachment(s): stingerss.avi (2,117kb) downloaded 17 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.
