What should I be recording NDI at bitrate wise?

I'm just testing VMIX, I usually use Ingex and capture at 185Mbit VC-3

I see no point in recording at these high bitrates if the NDI input is much lower.

NDI uses a variable bit rate. Do a search on these forums and you will find a note from Newtek explaining it.
