I'm not 100% sure if I can't do this already or not, but I'd like to be able to set a virtual set's layer source using shortcuts/API.

We use a couple virtual sets for our sports productions, where we basically do a split screen, or live lookin at another game. I would love to be able to set the layer source using a shortcut.

Something like ?SetLayerSource&Layer=Right&Input=Camera1

Does that make sense?

Haven't found a direct shortcut but an indirect one.

- add a colorinput
- set it's multiview 1 to one of your videoinputs
- create shortcut SetMultiViewOverlay to switch the multiviewlayer to another videoinput
- create shortcut SetMultiViewOverlay to switch the multivielayer (back) to your first videoinput ( and so on)
- specify your virtualsetlayer to your colorinput

now you can switch with the video's in your virtualset with your shortcuts ( or through API calls)

if there is a direct one then discard this reply

@ tesn

Have you tried "SetMultiViewOverlay"?

Virtual Sets are essentially "MultiViews", you'll just have to identify which layer is which for your "Index" value.

That's the one. Thanks! I thought I might be able to already. Just couldn't find it.
