Hello.
Simply setup - vmix16 on main PC and output to big screen.
Desktop capture from notebook with karaoke software. Connection by short cable - no problem with quality and fps.
When I start karaoke player (song text + background video) on 2nd screen, on vmix source window I see only song text, but no background video.
Notebook - windows XP and ATI videocard.

Is it possible to see the video, or cause in overlay ATI videocard?

I fix this problem mix text from remote PC and background from vmix, not so good, but work.

Hi mkobzar,

I don't know if this helps but I just tried to look into your problem, I have a Macbook Pro linked up to vMix via desktop capture, I don't have any karaoke software so I went onto youtube and played some videos through desktop capture into vMix and I have been running it for two hours now with no problems, all video and sound is in sync. I am using a second screen and all is working fine.

Is there any free karaoke software I could try to see if I get the same problem?

Could this be a content protection issue? I know karaoke has alll kinds of ASCAP and BMI restrictions on its use to it stands to reason that some content may be protected by some sort of HDCP.

I think it's not type of protected software. Just player + text.
Here is solution.

LCD over the right edge show text+karaoke video.
