Hi

I am building a system that requires 7 x live SDI camera inputs, and 1 x SDI program output. Whilst the output will be SD 576i, the cameras can be set to 576i, 720p, 1080p. As I will be using virtual sets, with zoom, it is obviously a good idea that my talent is shot in HD to allow a greater definition when zoomed.

I am planing on using an i7 / 4 core / 8 thread 3Ghz CPU / 12GB RAM / Windows 8.1 / Nividia GFX 980 Graphics / with 2 x DeckLink Quad Capture boards, using 7 of the DeckLink channels as input, and the eighth as an output.

Can anybody tell me can I use 2 x Decklink Quad PCIe boards, and can I use 7 channels as input, and one as output?, and should this PC be able to deal with the workload?

Thanks in Advance

Keith

Yes you can.. see full specifications of supported hardware and some custom built system configurations here to help you more:

@ kgoodyer

Another option is the AJA Corvid 88

https://www.aja.com/en/p...ucts/developer/corvid-88

Kinda pricy but it's all on one card...

But does vMix support Corvid88? It is not listed under supported hardware.

According to AJA, all of their new cards are compatible with vmix. There is a post on the forum somewhere from AJA which confirms this. I would direct any questions about the card to their sales team.
