Hi,

I noticed a small usability issue while working with Triggers in vMix.

When adding a trigger and opening the "Select a Function" window, if I start typing or browsing functions and then decide I don’t want to use it, my instinct is to press the ESC key to close the window.

Current behavior:

  • Pressing ESC does not close the window
  • Windows plays an error sound
  • The window remains open
  • The only way to close it is by clicking the X button with the mouse

Expected behavior:

  • Pressing ESC should close the "Select a Function" window
  • This should behave the same as pressing cancel or closing the dialog

In most software interfaces, when a modal or pop-up window is active, pressing ESC cancels the action or closes the dialog. This is a very common UI convention.

Allowing ESC to close this window would make trigger editing faster and more intuitive, especially when experimenting with different functions.

Thanks for considering it.
