I am considering upgrading my production PC to the 9800x3d. I was wondering if anyone has any data on how well vmix works on those CPUs before I jump from intel.

Thanks

Hi. I made a search and dont find people to use for vmix the x3d cpu either 5700/5800 or am5 7800 as 9800 is new for now.
My personal opinion is that for vmix cpu cores matter so even the x3d has the cache,it still is 8/16 cpu. When the 9950x is 16/32. So my personal choice for productivity would be the 9950x.
Except this see also this https://www.vmix.com/kno.../amd-cpu-support-in-vmix
If you need a really high end pc the amd way is threadripper and intel way x299 cpu/socket. Cause even the higher 9000x series of amd and also in the intel world the new ultra 9 still use dual memory channel, when vmix faq says that for 4k or many hd channels we need 4 channels memory
Also you can ask vmix support sales department for better advice https://www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx
