I keep running this same issue and need help again. Please advise.

I have two desktops on the same Wifi LAN. A PC and a MAC.

iMAC

Imac logged into the Wifi Network

PC
PC logged into the Wifi network

PC can see iMac on NDI
PC can see iMac through NDI

But iMac can not see PC on the NDI. iMac can only see itself
iMac can not see PC.

In such a case, what should I do differently?

I was able to see the PC on iMac just this morning.

Thanks a lot.

Use a wired connection and you will be able to receive it.

Mavik,

I did. And I tried again. It does not help.

My Mac and PC are both on the same wired network already.

And previously, as long both are in the same WIFI network, they see each other.

Even now, PC can see the Mac without any problem.

If computers have multiple NICs the metric decides which NIC gets prioritized. Either you configure the metric that the appropriate NIC is used or you simply disable wifi. This way you ensure that the traffic is really flowing over the wire and not the air.

Mavic, how to prioritize NIC?

Do you have a step by step?

And Mavic, I disabled the Wifi on both machines.

I see no difference. There is still no display of the PC on the virtual input of the NDI virtual input display on the Mac.

PC not showing up on the mac virtual input

At the same time, regardless if I disable the wifi or not, my PC can always see my mac on NDI.

Mac at the same time is showing as NDI input on PC.

It just does not flow the other way around.

Just as a reminder, it is always a good idea to post your solution, a) as a reference for people who have the same problem, and b) out of politeness to the people that have taken the time to help you.
thanks 1 user thanked dmwkr for this useful post.
