I thought there was a time when I could add images to a list and they would default to 5-seconds. Now I don't see this and I'm wondering if maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Basically, I can build a list AND include images, but because they don't have a time associated with them, they will stop the list from playing. When the image is displayed, the playout will simply stop. There's no error and I can click the forward button to make it go to the next asset, but it would be great if there was a way to have to assign a time to images.

Believe you mean "PlayList"

Double click on the item in the playlist to get a settings window for it

This will not work if you use a list input. They are only for playback video and audio.
To use this option you have to use a playlist. See bottom row LEFT from the overlay in vMix
