All my vmix presets are suddenly crashing on start up with this message 'Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt'
I have checked on this forum and in the past several people experienced it and the solution was to update nvidia and intel drivers
I have done this to no avail and am now performing a memory test on my system.
Z370-F Motherboard I9 9900K RTX2080TI 32MB Ram Nvidia Drivers up to date 528.49
I had recently updated a Waves plugin (Clarity v14.0) but still have the issue after uninstalling it
Interesting when I open a brand new vmix instance it is fine, it is just the pre-made presets that are crashing
** UPDATE ** It seems the upgrade to Clarity V14 is the issue here as it has also happened to my colleague who upgraded at the same time. We have found a workaround but it is a bit long winded. If you have the same problem let me know if you have got around it or I can share my solution

Hi, it appears I'm having the same issue but only with a certain preset. I also just updated the Clarity v14.0. Any help with the workaround for this would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I tried a few things but the thing that did the trick for me was removing the file 'WaveShell1-VST3 13.5_x64.vst3' from C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. I think this stops vmix trying to access the old version of Clarity from the plugins folder. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling Waves Central and then re-installing. If they don't work, try removing any reference to the Waves 13.5 plugin from any audio input you have it on and re-saving the preset without.
