Could you provide a screenshot of the error message?

Thanks,

Martin

First off , everyone all the best for the new year.

Short while ago I discovered vMix and must say I am impressed (trial) but I am now experiencing the same problem as the OP after I have been able to test and play with it with no problems whatsoever.

problems range from delay in loading to black screen (no screen cap possible ;-) ) which is trying to rebuild the screen but fails to even blue screen .

I have tried reinstalling graphic drivers, vMix but nothing seems the help.

the system is a laptop with I7 core 64x, AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5800 series.

any test I can do to help fix this issue ?
Thanks
Guy

Hi,

If you are seeing a completely black screen appear then it sounds like a graphics card issue.
Have you tried playing some recent games to see if they cause the same issue?

Regards,

Martin

Hi,

Agree it has something to do with the graphics issue (hence reinstalling video driver etc) but I don't play games so how do I check, but do a lot of video analysis ( coaching) .
Yesterday I was able to play with the titles even as loaded first with no problems at all ( editing titles and testing in attempt to figure out the xaml) .
Occasionally I would have a timeout error while loading them.
While currently I keep crashing (the screen is trying to rebuild itself) I changed to starting vMix(64) but started first loading a video and capture source, added virtual set and then a title... worked until I started again with first loading a title ... crash. Now it started crashing again after first loading the other sources.

Update:

Clean installed Windows 7 (x64), latest GPU drivers (dual ATI H5870)
Various stress tests all fine.
vMix and Xaml (titles etc) still crashes display.

As per Windows tips and many others changed Tdrelay register setting: at times managing to start with xaml but still eventually crashing .

Other tip : disable PowerPlay

So far all looks good, able to play and test vMix & Xaml :-)

fingers crossed

Guy
