Why don't you say that we can also add the preview as an input? it would be very useful because we "waste" an output to be able to take it as an input. when we do customized multiview we cannot not put the preview.
It would be nice to be able to choose for the mini mixes, how to display them in the multiview. I often do multiviews and I would like to be able to see the minimax preview.
Would you like to add a "move" transition in the future?

I've been using the last 24 version on Windows 11 for months without any issues. Installing 25 on Win11 as we type... :-)

I just tested the new "change color of a rectangle" title feature in vmix. Didn't work.
I got a german error message (on my german win11) thus I have vmix set to english
"Es konnten keine bekannten Ziffern gefunden werden" (TXT.UpdateSelectedItem)
meaning:
"couldn't find any known digits"
as soon as I want to open title editor and choose "color"

Thanks for the update!
Seems like some very useful additions! But please also add a "Preview Input", just like the new "Output Input". For me it seems like that wouldn't be to difficult to add / too different from the "Output Input", but that's just a guess. That would make the new "Output Input" Feature immensely more powerful, allowing the creation of full, custom, multiviews.
Adding a "Preview Input" for the Mini Mixes would be the next step enabling the creation of multiple Multiviews for multiple mixes.

Is the Countdown to time Timer able to trigger the OnCountDownCompleted Trigger. It seems not.. Is this intentional?

How does backwards compatibility work with vMix 25? If I want to open a project file from v25 in vMix 24, will that work? And what about if I try opening a file from 24 in vMix 25?

It may not be "intentional", but it's a known side effect of how the "Countdown to Time" is programmed to work. It's also unrelated to vMix 25.

Yes, that would be a possible workaround, just like using an extra Output and looping back in via ndi(for the Preview of Mix 0), but that would introduce a bit of delay and also wouldn't show previewed Overlays etc., i wouldn't feel comfortable using that as my main Multiview. For a ptz operator, or something along those lines, sure. I just think that if a "Preview Input" was easy to add, this would be a huge simplification for creating multiviews and wouldn't require workarounds like bringing the preview back in via ndi or your method.

Delay ? Its displaying the actual inputs used in the Mixes directly (similar to any other Multiview not routed like NDI). Only delay IMO is the script figuring out which inputs they are Your worry seems to contradict another sugestion of yours in another post Quote:For Tally, you could overlay a graphic which is changed via the web api / scripting, or maybe it's possible to add a feature to vMix Titles to change colors based on previewed / active input? Quote:and also wouldn't show previewed Overlays etc A script can also check which overlays are in preview ! Anyway such script was commisioned and they seem pretty pleased with it (or maybe they just blink slower ;-) )

And what about if I try opening a file from 24 in vMix 25? I haven't seen any major changes to the XML and I haven't had any issues opening vMix 24 based files. I also have passed some vMix 25 files to colleagues ( without thinking; didn't realize it until just now, actually!) and they were able to open it. My theory is ( though I haven't tested it) that the vMix interpreter of the XML just ignores anything it doesn't know what to do with.

The link to the User Guide on the vMix homepage still points to the version 24 edition.

Anyway such script was commisioned and they seem pretty pleased with it (or maybe they just blink slower ;-) ) I'm not arguing with you, your method seems to be the best solution to this problem currently. The delay was referring to the ndi solution. I'm totally fine with using a script for tally information, because that's super simple. Replicating vMix's preview with overlays is a bit more complicated. As is said, your solution is probably the best way to do this currently, but if i can choose between a script and a native vMix feature i'm taking the vMix feature. Just less complexity. And from my thinking, this shouldn't be too difficult to add as it's very similar to the Preview Input. But i could be way off on that. Anyways, i think we should stop filling up this thread, maybe relocate to a feature request :)
