Hi guys,

my vMix is crashing big time today caused by Grooveex.dll.

Anyone got this problem before?

I was working fine yesterday. Nothing was updated between now and then.

This morning the program would stay on only for a minute before crashing.

Thanks!

The randomness of these errors indicates a fault on the system unfortunately, possibly driver or hardware related.
A good first step would be to reinstall Windows in case something is corrupt and check for the latest drivers for everything.

Failing that begins the long process of replacing items one by one until the culprit is found.

These issues are extremely rare which makes it harder to know what the cause is.
(For example these errors have never occurred on our systems here at vMix and we test many computers and laptops on a regular basis)

Martin

Yes. That is my conclusion too.

But it was during an event and that option was not possible until the weekend. Luckily it was just handling in house tvs and not stage and broascast.

Btw, system is a few months old only. Hardware is:

- Ryzen 3 3800xt
- 32gb ram
- zotac 3070
- aver media gamer 4k

Problems only started recently after updating windows to latest available.

Will use your suggestion and check stability again.

Thanks.
