I'm looking for a realtime blur effect, maybe it's already possible.?

Not the same cigar, but one alternative is to create a png file with a semi transparent color (eg white or black) for the areas you want blurred. Then Overlay that png (or add in in a Multview).

The future I'm seeing is to create a tab of Video FX on the channel with multiple effects and probably plugins IF it is possible. It would unlock possibilities.

But I don't give this a lot of prioritie....

I too was looking for a real time blur feature, although, as already suggested, a semi-transparent png will probably do the trick for now.
I believe a video FX tab on a channel would be a really useful feature.
