We recorded a long livestream last sunday and had some issues:

The sound of the livestream was perfect, no issues there.

The sound of the recording was awfull, sometimes we had a minutes of white noise.

Our solution: we download the livestream and synchronise the sound.

Any idea what could have caused this problem?

What software or platform do you use for your livestream? I have similar issues of sound problems using Vmix and Livestream for live streaming events. In Vmix I have options of different sound input and so I kept trying different inputs until I had one that works well for me. I realised that the computers own inbuilt mic was what was causing the horrible noise. In the livestream procaster software which I use to capture from Vmix I make sure that only the sound input "Speakers voice" is selected. By default both of the computer's inbuilt mic and speakers voice are selected. Removing the inbuilt mic resolved the sound issue. I also stopped using it in Vmix. I will rather use an external mic.

We use VMix built in streaming option to stream to livebeats.com.

I don't see any audio settings that are seperate for recording in Vmix or streaming out of Vmix. That's why it's so strange the audio of the recording went bad, while the streaming went perfect.

The recording should include a log file with it that might provide an indication as to why the audio had some issues.
Locate this log file and email it to us or post the contents of it here.

"vMix Audio" should be used as the audio source instead of "vMix Audio - System Mix"
The system mix version is actually being removed from vMix 12 onwards due to some issues on some machines.
