Elgato HD60 s - my elgato capture device will not connect fully

I am using the trial version of vmix to see if it worth buy for a sports team i work with, we are using the elgato software to stream to Youtube but i fell the system created by vmix would work better for the team and that if i can use the trial fr this season and get it to work then the team would buy it for next season. After geting used to the software and seting most things up i tried connect the elgato hd60 S to the program and it would not connect at first. I tried checking to see if i had the latest software and fixed that and was able to get it to connect but the imput just shows the elgato loading screen even though the elgato capture software shows the camera working fine. I tried running the elgato configuration plugin from this site but it could not detect any devices. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried this and it keeps saying it can't find any devices. Would this have anything to do with the program being on the free trial.

Have you tried changing the Frame Rate to 30p?

Didn't change anything, is there a better capture card that works with vmix?

I guess i have to close the elgato program as the two cannot run simultaneously, the camera appears when one vmix is open.

Make sense not ? like you can not open your webcam in 2 different programs at once also.
FYI you never mentioned you had both the elgato program and vMix open at the same time.

I thought it had to be because some other video softwares needed both to be open.
