I'm using data to add a licensing number at the end of a song title via a data source. I need 4 spaces between end of the song title and the licensing number. For Example "Song Title 123456". Even though "Song Title _ _ _ _ 123456" (underscore represent spaces) is in the data cell, the graphic returns "Song Title_123456", thus removing 3 of the 4 spaces.

I tried concatenating the song title + 4 spaces + licensing numbers into a separate cell and then using that cell, but it still removes the extra spaces.

Any ideas on what causes this or how to format a line in GT title designer that simply tags on a license string that includes the spaces and the number after the data driven song title?

EDIT: It must be a common to html or something, because after I posted this, simply typing in spaces with the space bar in my example, it removed my spaces in this very post on this forum. I have gone back and inserted underscores to represent the spaces.

It was a csv file created in Open Office.

I updated my original post to reflect exactly what you observed:No spaces between song and number...even in this post. Something crazy going on.

Did you try a non-breaking space to see if that solves the issue?

In Open Office a non-breaking space is done via Control + Shift + Space

Doggy and Rudy - Thanks for your help.

The non-breaking space did the trick. Interestingly, I realized I had been using a .ods (office spreadsheet) file, instead of a true CSV file. Resaving as a CSV remedied the problem as well. Must be an Open Office thing.

So kudos to both of you.
