I am trying to use my laptop with Vmix capture via NDI to record my Facebook stream. I downloaded and installed the Vmix Capture software to the laptop and can see it on my NDI setup. From that point forward, I do not see any captured recording on the laptop. What am I doing wrong?

@ bobjackson

The vMix Desktop Capture application is for converting the desktop (or running application thereon) to NDI to send to your vMix PC.
It has no Recording capabilities, if that is what you are asking.
You would need to record it on your vMix PC (with vMix).

Newtek offers the ISO recorder as another option.

I am beginng to think I am over my head. So I gather that the laptop I want to record to (not the desktop where I have Vmix installed) will also have to have Vmix installed on it?

Not necessarily over your head, you can only know so much when starting out with vMix, that's the beauty of this forum where there is help for everything else about vMix that you don't know yet...
If I have understood you correctly, you don't necessarily need vMix installed on that PC, but you will need some kind of recording app.
Maybe if you describe exactly what you are trying to do (and why), someone can provide a simple solution.

You don't need vMix on the second computer. Just the NDI tools or the Newtek ISO recorder, both are free.
