Still really enjoying the power of the new GT Title designer but..
I am now playing with changing colours (images)in a database, and I am having problems changing the data with a shortcut.
This is a very simple test to swap the colours around, it works well when I go into the data source manager and select the different row but when I try doing it with a datasourcenextrow shortcut it doesn't change.
Is my format incorrect for doing this in the shortcut, I am learning as I go along?

A good idea is to check on a post you made on a FB page with the same question as an answer has been given there more than 3 hrs before this post

Ahh apologies, I did not get a notification that there was a reply on that post.
So is this not what the DataSourceNextRow option is for I take it?

I was looking at the manual for this, that's why I was using that option, but it didn't do anything..

The value needs to be (Name of the Data Source and Table Name (optional) eg 'Excel/CSV,Sheet1') and not a link to your file

And what would that be in this case if you don't mind me asking, how would vmix know where to access it if it is not a link to the file?
I tried redblack.xls but same thing.

say you open an excel file as a data source , if you don't rename it it will be called "Excel/CSV"

for your shortcut you choose for value the NAME of the data source which is "Excel/CSV""

as optional value one could add the sheet you are using of your file (if its an excel with multiple sheets ) being Sheet1

add a comma in between and you get 'Excel/CSV,Sheet1' for the needed value for your shortcut just as the help says

Sorry I am just not getting anywhere, you mean physically enter those words, or the excel name..I have done both, nothing happens when I click the shortcut.

Wait Wait Wait...I got this LOL
That was like pulling teeth.
You mean I actually have to go in and change the name from Excel/CSV to whatever, and then select the new name as the input :)
Maybe I am a bit stupid on it, but that was not overly clear..at least not to me :)
