Is it possible to stream from mpeg4/mjpeg PTZ IP camera's like the Sony SNC-RZ30?
If so where can I enter the username/password?
I don't see this fields in the stream input in vMix.

Use the following syntax:

Code:
rtsp://username:password@192.168.X.XXX/live/h264

Replace the variables and you should be good to go :)

I connected a Axis 207 camera with rtsp support, but I got this error: No Session

Conclusion: vMix only supports H264 and Axis apparently does not.

That's too bad, a lot of camera's only do mjpeg and mpeg4.

It may depend on the Axis camera model. I'm using Axis P3346 with h.264 and this URL for Stream input in vMix:

rtsp://<ip address>/axis-media/media.amp

The manual for the Axis camera provided a number of different URLs for different formats and transports (UDP, TCP, etc.)

What is your camera delay?
I tested with a Sony SNC-ZP550 and I've got more then 1 second delay.

Normally "zero" delay. We're showing the same cameras on a separate PC/monitor via VLC, and we're getting the same performance on the vMix PC. The cameras are hardwired (PoE) to the router, as are both PCs.

There is always some buffering delay.
So it can't be realtime.

I have to set the camera to unauthorized viewer.
rtsp://user:password@192.168.1.xxx/media/video1 doesn't work: 401 unauthorized
