I might be picky. But on a production set for a company the director always called "Dissolve" as "fade".
In reality a dissolve is the term for crossfade. In vMix it is called Fade which might be confusing to proper terminology? It's weird to have the director call dissolve, but you have to remember to press Fade.

The language of television production, and the ambiguity in vMix.
A fade generally refers to a fade ... to black (FTB).
A Mix or Dissolve refers to a transition between two video sources.
The vMix Mix Input refers to a Mixed Effects bus or ME bus/row, where two sources can be transitioned and video keys applied. So the ‘vMix Input’ should be renamed ‘Mixed Effects’ or ‘M.E.’
Overlay is the term used to place video footage over an interview or voice-over. Also referred to as ‘B Roll’ in some countries. Video Key is the correct term, whereby the Video Key includes the ‘Key Fill’ and the ‘Key Alpha’. The Alpha cuts the hole in the background image, and the Fill as the word implies, Fills the Key Alpha hole.
Button Tally like camera tally, also referred to as Activators, which is fresh new name. All good there.
We can always count on Doggy for a smile :)

I've begun to translate to Norwegian per your idea :) But I can't change "Fade" to "Dissolve" or anything else. other texts responds right away and changes the language. But Fade is still stucked as Fade. Do you have any ideas why?

I noticed that too. seems to be all the ones that have a dropdown available that do not respond to it. probably an oversight (bug) as else the translation being available is of no use. But we all know a person who should know ;-)

Until then, we'll have to fade that wish away.
