Hi there !
We often use Powerpoint files in our VMix recordings but inevitably we spot typos in the slides while we are working on the recording.
Would it be possible to allow a quick reload of the Powerpoint file back into VMix after editing the source ?
Thanks from a very satisfied user

Just make the edits and import again as a new input.
If you need a fix input for some reason you use a mini mixer output as an input for that.

Specifically, this would be available with a right-click on the PowerPoint input. When you right-click you'd see...
  • SlideShow Settings
  • Re-import PowerPoint

This is a nice-to-have feature request, but the sequence to reload a PowerPoint is very fast.
  • Click the settings cog on the input
  • Click "General" on the input settings if you're not already there
  • Click Change (No need to browse or anything... the PowerPoint file is already selected)
  • Click OK

Well, thanks for the info on how to do this quickly... I was almost to the point of wondering if I'd just have to shut down vMix and restart.

I'm wondering if a script can be created that will do this, and then set a (local) shortcut to reload by running the script.

But yes... adding "Refresh PowerPoint Slides" to the context menu when clicking a PowerPoint screen would be a really great idea.
