I've seen a few posts about recommending appending to replace with new VMixcall numbers.
In my case, I want a preset that just replaces the first 6 (NDI) inputs with VMix Call to switch shows during a quick break. But whithout shutting down VMix.
No matter what I try, it just adds the inputs at the end of my (yikes) 78 inputs. Has anyone found a way to just replace the top inputs?

Hi Vince Beck
There is no function. It is automatically inserted in the last position. Best to post in feature requests. Martin can possibly add the "INPUT NUMBERING" function, as when creating a new input, where the position number can be selected below.

Hi Doggy, This function is known. But it is easier if you can enter the position when adding, as when creating a new input. INPUT NUMBERING https://forums.vmix.com/...s/t20734-INPUT-NUMBERING Image3.jpg (110kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

is adding(inserting) not the same as creating here ? presets (as the name implies: prepared setup ups) can be loaded to replace an existing setup without having to restart vMix Besides there is a change option in the general tab of an input (top right)

As I understand Vince Beck, he wants to open a preset to add calls. When he clicks on "Apppend", the inbox is added last. If it has 78 inputs, the new input becomes 79. However, it is easier if you can enter the position as you add it when creating a new entry. https://www.vmix.com/hel...ndex.htm?OpenPreset.html

I put out the question about the possibility of a ReplaceInput function a few days ago and subsequently added it to feature requests. It sounds very similar, or closer to what you're looking for, than moving inputs around. The added power is that with a parameter to Replace with a virtual input, your NDI & vMixCall inputs could be up in the higher numbers, and you'd be replacing 1-6 virtual inputs with virtual inputs, thus not destroying the existing NDI or Call inputs. And retaining multiview and other settings in 1-6.
