Hello,
I've been testing some new gear setups:
Sony Z90 Elgato Cam Link 4k Rode Wireless Go into Z90
Testing going into a retina MacBook Pro (LED Bar) using Firefox browser.
After about 20 seconds of clean audio, the audio quality drops and there is notable scratchiness on the end of speech.
I've been combing through the support forum, and have thrown several different bandwidths and return bandwidths at it, gone peer-to-peer, but the audio degrades over time with every troubleshooting method.
What's more is, when using the onboard mic for audio (and the z90 video), the issue does not persist. When using a Sony AX53's onboard mic, the issue does not arise. At the camera level on the z90, the audio is clean. So something is happening specifically with the Rode Wireless Go + Z90 that we can't figure out.
Open to any troubleshooting ideas.
Thanks, Marshall

I would try to isolate the issue. Z90 build in mic = no issue Z90 + Rode = issue AX53 build in mic = no issue AX53 + Rode = ??
See if the problem follows with some changes you make or if it doesn't. With that you know where the issue comes from. Then look into more detail what might be causing it.

Right--Component Isolation at its finest! Here's what I've done so far: Firefox Macbook Pro Z90 Rode Wireless GO Vmix Call Replacing vmix call with Zoom removes the problem (with all other conditions the same). Replacing Camlink audio with Onboard Mic audio removes the problem (I believe from observation) Replacing Macbook Pro with a Macbook AIR (seriously?) or different MacBook Pro removes the problem. It appears to be something happening in the VMix call send machine.

To update:
I believe I have isolated the problem to the Macbook Pro (2019, 2 thunderbolt 3 ports); all other machines I've used do not have the problem. VMix Support says from the logs it's not VMix Call. So something about this machine...
2019 Macbook Pro 10.15.7 Catalina 1.4 GHz Quad Core i5 16 GB ram Intel Graphics UHD 645 1538MB
...that is causing the audio scratchiness. It doesn't happen over any other machine.
