I want to be able to record from a focusrite sound card. The problem is I use it to output to a mixer board for songs and videos and input from a tape out on the mixer board. Is there a way in vmix to only have the input from the sound card be recorded but it not output back to the mixer as if I do that I get Echo from the wireless mic from the board and my output to the board from my input if this makes sense?

Are you using audio busses in your settings?
You can select which inputs are sent to what bus/device.
