Hi!
Wuold this (Dante AVIO Analog Input Adapter 2x0) be a good solution for talent and commentator setup ? They have open headsets so no need to return audio (they can hear each other). So one ethernet cable with poe and inputs to vMix. And Dante Virtual SoundCard of course.

The AVIOS Analog input will not provide phantom power for your mic if needed. Is intended for mixer to network infrastructure purpose. In the Dante routing software is presented as a set of 2ch sources and can be routed anywhere you require. As the source, they work just fine, unattended once setup correctly.

You would need a pre-amp if you want to connect a mic directly. The pre-amp will also add the possibility for phantom power. If you plug a dynamic mic directly the level will be too low.

Mic Level is -60.
Just for the record. Phantom may also be an issue.

If you don't want to use a small and cheap mixer or an audio interface that runs without being connected to a computer, you can use these : https://www.amazon.fr/dp...WZCOS/ref=dp_cerb_1?th=1But for commentators you will still miss IFB, mute and cough buttons, the ability to set their gain and so on.... Clearly not the ideal setup.

Sort of... but: - no XLR out (will need adaptors from balanced jacks to xlr) - it can work alone but for direct connection to loudspeakers - it's designed to use a computer anyway over USB - 9V battery is very likely not to last long for phantom power with 2 mics If I were to do something like this, I would go this way https://www.thomann.de/g...ger_xenyx_qx1002_usb.htmwith something like this for the transport over CAT5 https://www.lyxpro.com/p...-female-to-rj45-ethercon (there are many solutions like this, for 1, 2, 4 or more channels)

Could you DWAM draw a picture how to connect these and how would Dante suite for this ? RJ45 is going where and how to output audio signal from it ? Or am I totally lost T.Tommi

Tommy
if you want more help, you'd better tell us more about your needs... Because when I read "commentators and talents" I really wonder what you're trying to do. I would certainly not setup the same solution for commentators as for talents.
Commentators need independent control over their own mix (mute, cough buttons) and they also need IFB with the production crew. Usually they also need video return for the PGM or the replays (so that that can comment on what's live) and they need to know when they are on-air or not Talents just need good mics and an in-ear monitoring solution.
These are very different use cases.
It also depends on what audio equipments you already have.
I also wonder why you want to go for Dante. Maybe you think this is easier or will let you prevent for buying audio gear but as shown here in this thread it's not really the case.
So explain your idea, your needs and the global context (also your budget) then we can suggest different workflows and alternatives.

As DWAM said please detail. If you need to use Dante (long run) you can use something like this https://www.thomann.de/de/neutrik_na2_io_dline.htm for I/O somewhere in the network but keep in mind that you need to feed proper signals into it. On the computer you additionally would need Via or DVS deal with the interface.
