Hello.
We are using VMIX to stream weekly church services. Currently, we have a mono analog audio AUX mix coming from one of our mixer XLR AUX ports connected directly to the camera that is HDMI connected to the capture box that is USB connected to the VMIX PC. This works but, maybe not the best A/D conversion in an inexpensive camera.

I'm wondering if VMIX supports the connection of a single channel $100 Dante AVIO interface to that AUX mix XLR port and receiving that audio directly from the AUX mix over our network instead of getting it through the camera.

We are not using Dante at all currently. The mixer does not have Dante support.

Thanks

That would totally work, but there are two things to consider. You will need to purchase the Dante Virtual Soundcard software to get the signal into Vmix. Also, the AVIO devices are Power Over Ethernet. So you will need to have a network switch with PoE ports available, or use a PoE adapter.

Another option would be to use a USB audio interface such as the Focusrite Scarlet Solo.
