Hello, everyone! I was wondering as I am new to vmix is it possible to have a second person on the same vmix system with a screen and a keyboard that does IR shortcuts and letting him cut out moments of a sports game and having the main guy switching cameras, overlays etc. So in breaks and small intermission there could be a replay or couple that it could play instantly.

Not only is it possible but its really already built for that if you buy controllers that you can simply download the shortcuts and triggers.

For example you could buy a pre loaded VMIX X-Keys switcher and X-Keys replay controller and go in and load them for presets already created. Aside from X-Keys there are a number of other pre configured switcher and replay controllers. A Shuttle pro is a really cheap pre assigned controller for replay.

You then would only need to get your screen workflow situated. For instance you might chose to have a dedicated screen as a Multiview and a Fullscreen setup for your replay op combined with a program monitor for your talent. All possible assuming your system can handle the workflow.

The cool thing is you can switch between having a dedicated op for larger events and doing it all from one op/one screen on smaller events. You can just setup your sessions to match your needs.

Be aware though - you can't run Multicorder recordings and Instant Replay at the same time on the one machine. If you're ISO recording on the cameras themselves though, that's not a dealbreaker.
