I have an old sony dv-cam, DSR 370p, connected to the Decklink quad and all I get is a black screen. When I connect through Svideo to USB port it shows. What could be the reason. I have set the resolution to 1080i as my other JVC hd pro cams.

Any guidance please.

Is your sony cam output in SDI ?

I have been researching on it and I have learnt that the Decklink only receives digital whiles the sony is analogue so I guess I need an SDI convertor to do the trick, fingers crossed. Blackmagic converters may do it for me.

Yes you need a analog to SDI converter (Blackmagic converters are really great, we owned 5 of them and we never had a problem with them)
